The college has formed a Counseling Centre under a committee for helping students to overcome their academic and non- academic problems. Experienced psychologists and academic counselors have also been invited to give lectures, talks and provide ontime consultation, advice to the students. This counseling will be available at Off Campus hours.

Keeping in line with the international movement of the non-governmental Organisations of Women all over the world, a forum has been founded in the college by the lady teachers. It proposes to help the girl students as a voluntary organization in regard to their security and intellectual pursuits.

It is a statutory body constituted in accordance with the directions from the Government with the Principal as the President and an elected guardian as the Vice- President. The executive comprises five teacher members and five guardian members in addition to the president. The Association envisages the wholesome development of the personality of students. It encourages the students to nourish their innate aptitudes through constructive interference. Much stress is also laid on the development of leadership qualities of the students. It protects the students from all fissiparous activities and cherishes to promote an awareness of everything congenial and positive in them. It helps in the infrastructure development activities of the college authorities and its accounts are maintained with annual audit by a Chartered Accountant.

The scheme is implemented with the goal of providing equal opportunity to all the students of NSS College, Pandalam to fulfill their academic aspirations. This scheme envisages financial support to the needy students who have no other way to continue their study in our college. This scheme ensures that no student of this college shall find it difficult to continue his/her academic pursuits in this institution for want of sufficient funds.

The University proposes to help the students through the Help-Desk by providing information via permanent notice board, internet etc. Every Help- Desk group would consist of one Teacher Co- ordinator and 5 students. The Help-Desk would serve as an interactive medium between the colleges and the University.

Alumni association plans to channelize and transform the good will of the Alumni into creative and meaningful co-existence. A new programme —”Second Home Coming”— is currently running in the college in which the prominent alumni of a Department will get a chance to re-visit the college and address the students of the department. The venture is highly appreciated by the current students and the alumni. Similar programmes, to share the academic resources and expertise of our alumni are waiting for implementation.

Genuine grievances of students relating to academic and non-academic nature are being discussed and redressed by the Grievances Redressal Cell. Both academic and personal problems are closely monitored. The students also have the opportunity to positively participate in the activities of the cell by using the suggestion box made available to them.

Ragging is a criminal offence as per the Supreme Court verdict. Ragging in all its forms, within or outside the institute/campus is totally banned. An anti-ragging cell functions in the college and it strictly monitors the activities of the students in the campus. The complaints about Ragging can lodge to the Principal office or dropped to the Complaint/Grievances box made available to them.
